What is the Endocannabinoid System?
The endocannabinoid system in an internal system which works a bit like our central nervous system, but sits in control over the central nervous system. It is deeply tied to almost every single human function studied and it is looking to be the mammalian master regulatory system.
When hearing a statement of that magnitude, one usually wonders why that fact is not better known. This is due to a variety of factors, but mainly because cannabis is federally illegal and cannot be studied for human safety in the way that other medicines can. Medicines are studied by the FDA for safety, and because of the federal illegality of cannabis, it cannot be studied by the FDA. Quite the conundrum. Researcher are SLOW to realize that the endocannabinoid system can be impacted by things other than cannabis. For instance beta-caryophollene, a molecule found in black pepper and many other natural products, is a STRONGER modulator of the endocannabinoid system at the CB2 neuro-receptor than anything found in cannabis.
In fact, the first master level class on the endocannabinoid system are just now being taught at major universities. The first was in the Summer of 2019. The “pharmacology” of the endocannabinid system is still very slow to be taught and when this knowledge begins to proliferate in the research community, rapid development of the endocannabinoid system will happen.
So, what is this system? Well, in order to fully understand this system, you have to have a new model of human function. I think it will become clear as the system is described! Lets look at the endocannabinoid system from three major points.
1. The endocannabinoid system is very old. We developed in an organism called a sea squirt. This is the organism where we DIVERGED FROM INSECTS. We, along with most life on the planet, have dragged the endocannabinoid system up the evolutionary ladder with us, which should indicate its importance and criticality to how we, along with most life on the planet, function.
2. The endocannabinoid system is looking to be our master regulatory system. This is established in two ways, first is simple logic, the second copious amount of ancedotal data. A search at nih.gov (our nations clearing house for research) will turn up hundreds of thousands of studies on the endocannabinoid system. These studies will be silo’ed, but will indicate down that particular silo researchers are agreeing the endocannabinoid regulates.
3. The endocannabinoid system is driven by natural resources. This is the GREAT NEWS! By understanding what these resources are and by understanding how and why your body wants them, we can begin to manipulate the endocannabinoid system.
Why is this knowledge valuable? It will dictate a new way to view human function and a new way to diagnosis and look at “disease”. Consider, we have recently been thru a global pandemic with a virus. What happens when a virus “invades” us? How do we deal with this internally? Our immune system is our defense against these attacks. But the endocannabinoid system regulates the immune system. Might there be RESOURCES that could be provided to the IMMUNE SYSTEM to help it fight off things like a VIRUS? The answer is YES…and that is exactly what the treatments like HCQ, CQ, and other therapies are doing. Boosting the immune system so that it can deal with a foreign invader.
ALL of our sales people who are selling TrueMedX products MUST go thru a training class to understand this extremely important system and how we formulate products for it.
We are what comes next!
